Operations Manager (Maternity Leave Position)

90k – 100k (pro rata) plus super depending on experience plus a bonus for completion of the initial contract.

  • You will receive a competitive salary $90k – $100k plus super along with a bonus for completion of the maternity leave contract of 10% of your salary package (pro rata) (inclusive of superannuation), subject to experience.

About You

  • You possess proven business acumen and hold a minimum of an Advanced Diploma in Business Management or a similar qualification (or possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar business development role).
  • You may have prior experience in the veterinary industry, or you may be someone who is excited about applying your high-end skills to this new environment. (Veterinary experience will be highly regarded)
  • You have a genuine love for people – and their much-loved pets.
  • You are a motivator, someone people are drawn to and trust – always leading by example to harness the success, growth, and development of others.
  • You have a solutions-oriented mindset and a strong drive for improvement.
  • You thrive in a dynamic work environment where no two days are the same, and you are adept at performing multiple roles.
  • Your duties will include compliance and business development, among other responsibilities.
  • You are proficient in IT with the ability to learn new systems.
  • You possess strong financial acumen and have demonstrated the ability to budget, analyse and present information to the Director to improve the practice.
  • You are passionate about ensuring your team is happy and engaged.
  • You are an excellent listener who can collaborate, cooperate, and compromise.
  • Your warm, engaging communication style makes you approachable, even during difficult conversations.
  • You have experience in coaching and training, particularly in leadership, development, and team building.
  • You appreciate receiving regular feedback from your employer to facilitate your growth.
  • You possess a great sense of humour that helps maintain team spirit on challenging days.
  • You are motivated, focused, passionate, and assertive, but also know when to ask for help.
  • You must have a current, clean driver’s license.
